Back to basics

Hey Hey Hey everbody *wave*

I am back, back home from Good Old England :D

I just wanna say it was amazing! I had a really great weekend in London! We had absolutely great weather, sunshine all day long (even got a sunburn *lol*), lots of fun and a concert that was one of the best I have ever seen and made that trip really worthwile!

We did a lot of sightseeing, went for a stroll in Hyde Park, sat down a bit at the Speakers Corner, enjoyed the sun, went shopping (did you doubt we'd miss that? *lol*), we saw Buckingham Palace (allthough we were all convinced it would be a lot more interesting to see Beckingham Palace *rofl*) and so on and so on!

Then Tuesday the big day arrived and we got up reeeeeeally early to catch our train! We then met our friends at the bowl so around 9.45am and we sat all together and had a really nice time waiting to be let in! Then at 2 o'clock they oppened the gate and that was the most relaxing and best organised event I have ever been to! No pushing, no running, no hurrying, everything was really relaxed! We even made it to the front row and then the waiting went on *lol* But time passed so fast I almost couldn't believe it!

We had Orson and Basement Jaxx as opener, which both were really great and finally then Rob came on stage! He did a great performance and all of a sudden my friend, standing beside me, SCREAMED *lol* in my ear "Isn't that Max sitting there behind Chris (Robs Drummer)?" I looked in the direction she had told me and YES it WAS Max *sigh* He sat there, was joking around with the drummer and I suppose waiting for his moment *ggg*

He then was announced by Rob before Rudebox and yes I must admit I got a bit distracted from that moment on *blush* I haven't really seen a lot of Rob's performance during that song cause I was really too focused on the handsome drummer, doing an awfull lot of faces while playing *lol* Just enjoying to see him this near! No I don't wanna say I didn't enjoy Rob *ggg* cause I really did, but the "Max"-moment just made this weekend even more phenomenal that it already was!!!
And that wasn't the end!!!!!!

When Rob finished the concert they of course all came out to take a bow and then decided to play an encore which was "Kids" and guess what?????? Yeah Max took his place again behind the drums and played a second time for us (or maybe just for ME???) *sigh*

Of course there will be some pictures in the gallery soon, so stay tuned :D

I now wanna finish with a big thank you to the girls with whom I spent 5 awesome days in London! I had a lot of fun with all of you and really enjoyed myself! Hope to see you all again really soon!

Take care
Denise

Robbie: “Hello Wembley!”

Mr Rudebox takes the mick at Milton Keynes gig…

Robbie Williams let rip at the Wembley Stadium builders at last night’s Milton Keynes Bowl gig.

Midway through his set, at the enormous T-Mobile and Sony Ericsson sponsored show that was originally scheduled for the new Wembley Stadium but moved to Milton Keynes due to Wembley not being finished, Robbie addressed the venue issue head-on. “Welcome to the new Wembley Stadium!” He screamed.

“It’s f*cking brilliant innit? Dear oh dear. At least it’ll be ready for Theo Walcott’s testimonial!”

The set saw Robbie get all his hits out, including ’Rock DJ’, ’Feel’, ’Let Me Entertain You’ and of course ’Angels’. And in way of special treats, Robbie’s best mate Johnny Wilkes joined Williams on-stage for a bit of Morecambe and Wise swing cabaret, while actor Max Beesley came on to play drums for new single ’Rudebox’.
Another highlight was the Sony Ericsson VIP afterparty. Granted, it wasn’t part of the gig, but there was loads of booze and pink carpets.

‘Response to raid has been so kind’

WELL-WISHERS have responded in droves after a charity shop raising funds for sick children was raided by thieves.

Donations have flooded in to the Five Star Scanner Appeal shop, on Bury New Road, Prestwich after the Advertiser carried the story of burglars trashing the premises and stealing two second-hand stereo units.

Everything from three-piece suites, to books and clothes have been bought in by a public shocked by the the raid.

The attack on the shop also brought stinging criticism from one of the charity’s patrons, actor Max Beesley.

Max, star of the recent hit TV series ‘Hotel Babylon’ said: "Robbing a children’s charity shop reaches new depths of rancid behaviour.

"Only the scum of the earth are able to do something like this."

Happily, the public response following the raid has been more positive.

Appeals director Charmaine Owen said: "Everyone, including Max, was absolutely shocked by the attack.

"It was not so much what they stole, but the fact they did it to a charity that struck a chord locally.

"As a result, people have been coming in with everything, from large items like furniture to books and other household goods.

"And even better, takings from customers are up by at least £100 a week.

"The response has been very positive, which is great because it proves that there are good people out there.

"Just in case anyone thinks we are an easy target, can I point out that there is never any money in the shop at night - all the takings are put in the bank.

"And since the raid we have tightened up security and installed CCTV."

Max Beesley recently appeared on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ for the appeal and has led a campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer after his father was diagnosed with the disease.

Alongside Ryan Giggs, and Coronation Street stars Chris Bisson and Samia Smith, and actor Richard O’Brien, Max has been a staunch supporter of the Five Star Scanner Appeal, for the appeal, which aims to raise £1 million to provide an MRI scanner for the new children’s hospital, planned for central Manchester.

Anyone wishing to make donations to the can contact the charity on: 08709 770 057.
