Hotel Babylon Season 2

Hello everyobdy :D

Today I am back with some news about the new Hotel Babylon Season starting February 2007!

BBC One’s hit drama Hotel Babylon returns for a second series next month for an eight week run which see’s some major changes at the swish hotel.

Tamzin Outhwaite and Max Beesley are joined by a host of familiar faces from the first series including Dexter Fletcher (Head Concierge Tony) and newcomer Paul Telfer who plays Tony’s new trainee Luke.

With his good looks, confidence and naughty streak, Luke promises to turn heads both back and front of house. But his arrogance comes at a price.

“Luke is the new trainee concierge at Hotel Babylon. After the events at the end of the first series Rebecca felt that Tony needed some back up on reception so I play his protégée – the next generation of high-level concierge,” smiles Paul.

“They don’t know each other and Tony is taking a chance on Luke,” he adds. “There is also a suggestion that Luke doesn’t have the cleanest of pasts which might have helped him land the job since he slots straight in.”

Following her marriage to actor Tom Ellis last summer the second series of Hotel Babylon will be Tamzin Outhwaite’s last acting job for a while. “I am going to do nothing for a while – just relax and enjoy myself, my new husband and my new house and have a bit of a laugh for a while” explains the much in demand actress.

Outhwaite says she enjoyed her time on the series as the glamorous Rebecca Mitchell and doesn’t rule out a possible return to the series: “I’ve loved playing her and it would be great if she came back as a little cameo at some point … maybe as a guest but as General Manager this is it for Rebecca.”

Guest stars in second series include David Walliams, Jerry Hall, Danny Dyer, Chris Parker, Richard Hawley, Alexander Armstrong, John Sessions, Chris Coghill, Mark Heap, Kelly Brooke, Julian Clary and Jennifer Ellison.

MAX Beesley has just finished filming a second series of Hotel Babylon... so it must be time for a new project. And right on cue, he has found one.

It's Only Love was written by genius Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless, Sor ted, Clocking Off) and Max (left) describes it as "a bit of a Cold Feet-meets- This Life comedy drama."

Max plays a DJ called Mitch in the show, which begins filming next month, and says he's "very excited" about it. So are we, Maxie.

Tamzin: Snog with Max 'weird'

TAMZIN Outhwaite says that filming love scenes with Hotel Babylon star Max Beesley felt like “kissing your brother.”

The gorgeous ex-Eastender, 36, said: “There’s a bit of frisson between our characters in the new series. However, what’s really weird is kissing someone who feels like he’s your brother.

“Our characters were partners in the first series but in this one we begin to get friendlier – one day you open the script to see that we have to kiss which is much weirder than when you don’t know someone.

“I’ve done scenes like that loads of times, but they are always a bit strange. You have to ask yourself ‘How much garlic have I eaten?’ or ‘Did I have onions?’”

Hotel Babylon, in which Tamzin plays hotel general manager Rebecca and Max stars as head receptionist Charlie, returns in January.

DOUBLE LIFE

Television viewers know him as Hotel Babylon's assistant manager Charlie Edwards but The Guide hears actor Max Beesley does inded have a double identity. When he's not in his native Britain working on Hotel Babylon and another series, the critically acclaimed Bodies, he's a percussionist for Robbie Williams. Beesley is in Australia touring with Williams. Before he became an actor he also worked with Take That and the Paul Weller Movement and appeared in the film recording of Williams's Knebworth concert. Bodies, in which he plays Dr Rob Lake, premieres on the ABC next month.

Max on stage

Just a quick note about Max being in Australia :D

He was on stage with Rob Thursday and Friday night and he played the drums on the first night during Rudebox and on the second night during Kids!
