This year's golf tournament
Hello everybody
On the Five Stars Appeal website there is an article online about this year's golf tournament.
A Hole Lot of Fun
Ryan Giggs, Max Beesley hosted a star-studded golf tournament and gala dinner on Sunday 20th May at the Belfry near Birmingham. Guests included Kirsty Gallager, Lee Sharpe, Will Mellor, Richard O’Brien, Susie Amy and Angela Griffin.
Highlights of the night included a surprise visit by Wayne Rooney and girlfriend Colleen McLoughlin. The striker donated his shirt and boots from the FA Cup Final the day before and was delighted to see them raise an astounding £12,500. Earlier in the evening Wayne won a £2,000 necklace donated by Boodles of Manchester in our special chocolate box raffle. Rooney was so pleased he joined Cole Page on the microphone and serenaded Colleen with the Frank Sinatra classic, ‘Let There Be Love’.
In a personal message from Robbie Williams, read out by his best friend Jonathan Wilkes, the singer apologised for not joining us and he decided to donate the triple platinum disk he received for his ‘Greatest Hits’ album, which raised £16,000.
Max also donated a day on the set of his BBC hit show ‘Hotel Babylon’ including lunch with the entire cast and crew, which raised £20,000.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to The Kennedy Charitable Foundation, Morpheus Investments, Cobra Beer, Callaway Golf, Audi, A plant and Sputnik Vodka for their support.
Have a nice afternoon everyone.
